Laura Tellez-Gagliano, Ed.D. was appointed by the Board of Education in July 2012. Dr. Tellez-Gagliano began her educational career as a classroom teacher in Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). After serving nine years with LAUSD, Dr. Tellez-Gagliano worked for the Garvey School District for seventeen years in the capacities of Resource Teacher, Assistant Principal/Intermediate School, Principal of two elementary schools, Director of Curriculum and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. In 2003, Dr. Tellez-Gagliano joined the Alhambra Unified School as Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.
Dr. Tellez-Gagliano received her Bachelor’s Degree and teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University. She received a California Administrative Services credential from California State University Los Angeles. In 2007, she received her doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of La Verne.
