6:00pm includes two Public Hearings, including one on:
AUSD is proposing a transition to a "by-trustee" election system.   
 
Transitioning to this new system will require the Board to hold public hearings on proposed trustee area boundaries (or maps) prior to asking the Los Angeles County Committee on School District Organization to approve the change. 
 
This is one of five public hearings (two PRIOR to the creation of map options and three AFTER the creation of map options).  We welcome public comments at all of these meetings.
 
If the Committee approves the change, “by-trustee area” voting would be held starting with the 2022 Board of Trustees election, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
