School Districts are required by law to develop Individual Education Programs (IEP) for students with Disabilities at least yearly. These plans are a collaborative effort by the student’s special education teacher, service providers, general education teachers and parents. They address the students areas of need in the educational setting so that they can access the curriculum. In most cases teams are in agreement and IEPs are signed. In rare instances there may be a situation in which the IEP team cannot come to an agreement. A Collaborative Resolution Meeting provides parents the opportunity to meet with the special education administration and discuss their concerns and resolve their issues. If you feel this process would help you resolve IEP related issues please click on the link below and fill out the CRM form and return it to the Special Education Department. A meeting will be scheduled with you to discuss your concerns.
