Congratulations to Jennie Malonek, Alhambra High School’s Academic Decathlon Coach, who received the Roberta Kordich Coach Award from the Los Angeles County Office of Education in February at the Academic Decathlon’s annual award banquet. The coach of the year award commends Ms. Malonek for her commitment and dedication to the Academic Decathlon. Ms. Malonek organized workshops and seminars for all decathletes and helped fundraise for a monetary award in memory of a former coach who passed away.
